Synopsis:
This documentary charts the last years of the famous filmmaker’s life and his failed bid to make a film adaption of Joseph Conrad’s novel, Nostromo. David Lean, who directed such epics as Lawrence of Arabia, The Bridge on the River Kwai and Doctor Zhivago, died in April 1991 from throat cancer just weeks before filming was due to start.
